Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Thank you for your interest. We are a small business and therefore ask that you respect these terms which are designed to protect both of us. This is the small print, though often tedious, please read before booking to avoid any misunderstanding.

Your commitment to us

When you confirm your purchase, you are accepting that these terms and conditions form the basis of any contract between Farringford Estate Limited and yourself.

Prices

Prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes and there are no surcharges whatsoever. Once you have paid, we will not increase the price of your tickets.

Prices displayed on the site are subject to change without notice.

Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability.

Payment

Full payment is due at the time of booking a house tour. Garden only admissions are paid on arrival and do not require booking in advance.

Cancellations

Unfortunately, we cannot issue any refunds for cancellations.

Special Requests

If you have any special requests, please tell us when you book. We shall endeavour to accommodate your requests, although in some cases we may not be able to.

Amendments

You may request amendments to your booking by contacting us as soon as possible quoting your name and reference number. We will endeavour to accommodate such requests, but cannot guarantee to do so.

Check in

Please ensure that you arrive at the entrance to the grounds 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, to enable you enough time to check in at the ticket office, and make your way through the walled garden to the house entrance.

Food and Drink

No food and drink, including bottled water, can be taken into the house.

Photography

Photography is not permitted within the house.

Cloakroom

In order to protect the fabric of the house and items in the collection, and as some of the spaces in the house are very small, we ask that bulky items, backpacks and large coats are left in our free of charge cloakroom prior to starting the tour.

Accessibility

Please be advised that the approach to the house is through the walled garden that slopes up gently for about 100 metres along gravel paths. We are very sorry that due to Farringford’s Grade1listed status the house is unsuitable for wheelchair users.

The house contains a number of steps and sets of stairs, and the interior is quite dark, so we advise those with mobility and/or sight problems to take extra care.  If you have any concerns as to whether the house would be suitable for you or a member of your party, please enquire at the time of booking.

Dogs

Dogs are permitted within the grounds but must remain on a short lead at all times. Owners must clear up after their dogs using the dog bins provided. These are located throughout the grounds. No dogs are allowed in the house.

Smoking

A no smoking policy applies to all areas of the house and gardens.

Unreasonable behaviour

Farringford Estate reserves the right to cancel your visit with immediate effect in respect of any individual or party with whom that individual has reserved a tour, if it considers that the individual's behaviour is inappropriate or if that individual's behaviour is affected by the use of alcohol or drugs, or if that individual's behaviour affects the physical or emotional well being of our other visitors or employees.

Car Parking

Farringford Estate offers free car parking to paying visitors who use the car park at their own risk. Farringford Estate accepts no liability for loss of or damage to cars or other property left in the car park.

Thank you for taking the time to read these terms and conditions and we look forward to your visit.
